Hi! I am Katherine Feeney, your not so typical Nutritionist here to help women heal their relationship with food and feel healthy and confident in their skin.
As a former diet junkie I am here to help you escape the insanities of the dieting industry so that you can give your body what it needs.
To help shift the conversations and help women go from restriction and deprivation to nourishment and freedom.
The truth is you get to be healthy without obsessing over every bite or feeling guilty for eating a cheeseburger on a casual Tuesday.
Even if you haven't worked out today.
You get to be healthy & happy:
Without ultra low calorie meal plans.
Or subscribing to a specific diet type.
Without monthly challenge packs of supplements you'll never actually consume.
Or skipping meals.
Nothing is "off limits".
There is no "good" or "bad".
Learn what feels good to you (and know that it can change over time).
Supporting your body and mind will always be more important than a *dream* dress size.
There are a million influencers who we perceive to have perfect bodies and perfect lives, and so we aspire to have the willpower that they have... meanwhile they are dropping their body fat percentage so low that they lose their period.
I say this with so much compassion for the women who are struggling, but need to bring this to the surface so that you understand what you see as images of health & wellness, isn't always the reality!
My mission was born out of the realization that so many women are looking for exactly what I'd been looking for; a nutrition plan and program to give their body what it needs, not just another diet plan. And, so, I bring you Healthy Redefined!

When we start defining ourselves by that which can be measured or weighed, something deep within us rebels.
We don't want to EAT hot fudge sundaes as much as we want our lives to BE hot fudge sundaes. We want to come home to ourselves. (p. 174-5)”
The Personal Piece:
Former Diet Junkie, turned Wellness Mentor
In my early 20's I started paying attention to health. A big part of me wanted to be healthy, and another part of me was afraid of becoming fat. I was obsessed with reading diet magazines, books, and food blogs (pre-Instagram days).
Basically, anything I could get my hands on to show me how I could eat and exercise to ensure my office job didn't have me gain the 20+ pounds that everyone warned me about. Eventually, nothing that passed my lips went uncounted. I'd been following girls eating 1200 calories a day, only low carb bread and salads, who worked out 6 days per week, and sometimes still did power yoga on their "rest day".
In all of this, I ended up underweight, exhausted, and unable to focus on tasks that were once simple for me to do at work.
I was physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted.
Obviously, something had to change. And what I knew was that I not only had to change this for myself, but for others. For women to create a positive relationship with food and escape the dieting industry.
Whether you find yourself being super restrictive, or binge eating at times, or a mix of the two (super common) it's time to escape and find a way to eat well to support your body and mind!
More than anything, I wish to inspire you to break free from fear and anxiety around food and your body. So that you can enjoy the moments life is placing right in front of you. To focus more on how much energy and brain power you have rather than the label on your jeans.
